We were up at 04.30 and at LHR by 06.00. We had a nice wait for the flight in the Executive Lounge with complimentary breakfast and drinks (coffee for us but lager for others!)
After an uneventful flight on Virgin Atlantic plane Lady Stardust we landed on time at Newark Airport.
Ground Transportation got us to The Affinia Manhattan by mid-afternoon US time (-5hours GMT)
After chilling for an hour or so we went to The Triple Crown, a local Irish pub for our late afternoon meal then to Duane Reade for some supplies and got soaked through to the skin as the hot (77F), humid weather broke and dumped very heavy rain on us!
When we got back to the room there was a bottle of wine and chocolates to wish us a "memorable honeymoon".
